How To Setup a VPN?

A VPN, or Virtual Private Network, allows you to create a secure connection to another computer over the Internet. This is useful for many reasons. In this step-by-step guide, we will show you how easy it is to set up and use a VPN!

Step 1:

Choose a VPN Provider. We recommend using NordVPN, they are the best in our opinion! There are dozens of providers, so it’s important that you do some research before deciding which one is right for you. After all, they don’t call them “providers” for nothing – they provide the service! A good place to start looking is CNET Reviews (cnet.com). They have reviews of many popular providers and each review includes pros and cons from actual customers who have used the service in question. Once you find a few potential candidates, take a look at their websites and see which one seems the most professional and reliable.

Step 2:

Once you have chosen a provider and signed up for an account head on over to their website and install the client. You will need to enter your login information from step one as well as download the software onto the device you want to use the VPN on.

Step 3:

Open up your software and connect to a server in the country of your choice! We recommend choosing one close to where you live for better speeds, but it’s an entirely personal preference. Once connected all traffic will be routed through that server which gives you an extra layer of security and anonymity.

Step 4:

If you are using the VPN to unblock geo-restricted websites or bypass censorship web filters then it’s time to go about doing that! Check out our list of best VPN for Netflix, Hulu, BBC iPlayer, etc. We don’t recommend torrenting over a VPN if your provider doesn’t support it!

Step 5:

That’s all there is to it. Once you have your VPN set up and running, then the only thing left to do is sit back and enjoy being able to access whatever content you want, whenever you want from wherever in the world that may be! Remember not every country has great internet speeds so it may be slower than usual!

Step 6:

If you ever want to change your location, just open up the software again and choose another server. You can also check out our tutorial on how to change a VPN’s location without signing into it!

Enjoy the internet with your VPN service up and running, you can feel safe surfing on the web. All your data is securely encrypted and nobody will be able to see what sites or pages you are visiting even if they manage to intercept it!
